Point To Point
Point to point meetings provide amateur riders and hunting horses an opportunity to participate in steeplechase racing- horses must clear a series of jumps around the three mile course. Fakenham Racecourse is the annual location for the West Norfolk Foxhounds meeting, the one time of the year where point to point racing takes place here. Having been documenting the very best horses training and racing in Newmarket for a year, I was interested to see the alternative side of horse racing. In a rather surreal turn of events, I also witnessed two camel races that took place at the end of the meeting that raised money for charity, with the riders dressed up in huge duck costumes and other fancy dress.
